ESL/ESOL Resources: Mountain View College ESL information page

Mountain View College offers two programs in English as a Second Language.

The first program (ESL), offered by the Continuing Education department, is designed to help non-native speakers develop basic communication skills in the English language. The second program, offered by the Communication and Teachers Education Division (ESOL), is designed to help students master the cognitive, academic English needed to pursue degree programs taught in English. Results of the ESOL placement (Compass) test will determine which courses are appropriate.
