Sleep and Dream

A LibGuide about dreams

Sigmund Freud's Theory of Dreams.

Dreams has remain an unclear subject that is still a mystery to this day for scientists and psychological doctors. Sigmund Freud (1856—1939) the father of psychoanalysis, was not able to uncover the true source of this mystery. However, Freud did have theories on why dreams happen, by using two different studies. The stages of the human consciousness called: The Unconscious Mind; and the part of the mind that make a person’s personality called The Psyche.

“The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to a knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind.”

- Sigmund, Freud
